asalamu alaykum
my second blog woo hoo lol
my brother asked me the other day if i wanted to go live with him in U.K. and i sat there thinking about it. It seems like the answer to my problems, i know you shouldnt run away from your problems but i feel like by moving to UK i can start over, so i really want to go, but convincing my mom on the other hand isnt the easiest thing to do.
im the youngest in my family, i have 4 siblings and im the only one not married, mum has always wanted to go back home to take care of her mum and this is the perfect oportunity for her, we're all grown up and can take care of ourselves but she wont leave, im her excuse to stay, but now that my brother wants me to move in with him it should make it easier for her to leave right?
wrong!!!
she dosnt think i should be by myself, now shes saying she'll wait till i get married, lol
so now i cant leave saddly
inshallah inshallah inshallah she will change her mind, all i can do is just pray to allah(swt) to open my mums heart to the idea of me going to live with my brother!!

first entry:)
asalamu alaykum
well with the idea given to me by a dear sister, ive made a blog of my own, i have always loved reading others so heres mine to add to the numerous amount of blogs:)
A part of me is wondering why in the world would someone read ur blogs, your life isnt that interesting, lol, but at the same time its not about other people, but its for myself. Writing down all my problems that i faced has always helped me feel better so why not do a blog about it??
My names safiya, im a somali who was raised in toronto, canada almost all my life and is the only place i know really.
life has always been hard for me growing up, with my parents divorce and my brother moving away, you can say life has been rough but alhamdullilah it hasnt always been hard.
I was always raised to be kind to neighbours, and to treat people with respect, and i never really knew what it ment to be a muslim living in the west until sept 11 but ill talk about that sometime later inshallah
but for now ill leave my first entry how it is:)
